SPOILERS!I think the author missed an opportunity to turn this series into a really good read. There were issues that could have been explored with the female lead character...Rae...with her mom's suicide and she could have gone into Ryker's past as well. I think that is truly what ruined the series for me. I felt Ryker was short changed in all of this. I am actually glad he did not end up with Rae...she was incredibly selfish and I was team Ryker all the way. Too much drama and manipulation with Zeke. The book just seemed like immature drama in between sex scenes. I actually skimmed through a lot of the sex because it quit being hot and began being repetitive. I am not a fan of these books at all. I did read five of them before reviewing...wish I didn't. I actually thought book five would unleash the deeper details...didn't happen. Don't get sucked into this nonsense...move on.

What a wonderful continuation of this series! After the heartbreaks in Ray of Hope, it was nice to see that it didn't break of spirit of Rae. And sometimes, what you are looking for is right there in your face. It was a little nerve wracking with the secrets that went on in this book between Rae and Zeke as well as between Rex and Kayden. I even felt sorry for Ryker and think there is more to his story, which hopefully will be covered in the final installment Ray of Time.

It seems everyone is in love but Jessie. Zeke breaks it off with Rochelle so he can be with Rae now that she is single. Rex and Kayden are friends with benefits and then they're not. Then they start dating as boyfriend and girlfriend. Read about the dilemma of friends dating friends and not being forthcoming with their feelings.
This series kept popping up in my Facebook Timeline, so I decided to give it an try and I'm so glad I did. I instantly fell in love with the series and read all three books in 2 days. Rae, Rex and their friends are highly entertaining. I like the fact that the Rae, Jessie, and Kayden own the fact that they are strong, confident women. That doesn't mean they don't get down from time to time. They do, but they don't wallow in self pity. And Rex and Zeke are the perfect Alpha-males. They are very protective of their friends and family without it being over the top.
This is my first time reading a series by E.L. Todd, and though I love the first three books, I'm a little hesitant about continuing the series. I saw where her Forever and Ever series is 47 books long. At $4.99 a book that's expensive. I hope the Ray series isn't as long.

This book changed everything!
Warning this can NOT be read as a standalone!
So, things really changed at the end of the last book. Now, Rae is single again and heartbroken. She is a shell of her former self. This opens the door for Zeke, her best friend, the guy who has been in love with her for years. Rae, of course, is oblivious to his feelings, which only makes this more fun to read.
The burgeoning relationship between Rae and Zeke is great! This entire book is one long slow burn. These two characters are so meant for each other, but Rae is stubborn and inside her own head way too much.
By the end of this book, things are more up in the air than ever, but I loved every minute of the ride!
Damn, this series is excellent! Told from the perspective of brother and sister Rae and Rex as they each navigate their feelings for their two respective close friends, Zeke and Rae. (Zeke is Rex’s best friend, and Kayden is Rae’s). The group of friends featured in the series- Rae, Rex, Kayden, Zeke and Jessie - are such fun to read. The humor is brilliant throughout the story, yet the drama as Rex and Rae make their ways to Kayden and Zeke add just the right amount of tension. And woo doggie, the erotic scenes are hotter than hot! Fair warning, while the story arc in the book is a fairly complete one, it is part of a larger series and you do need to read the other two books to know the characters and history completely. And you will need to find out what happens next!
Ray of Love is the 3rd book in this great series about a group of friends ... Rae and her friends Kayden and Jessie, Rae's brother Rex and his friends Zeke and Ryker. It takes place 3-months later after book 2 "Ray of Hope". I am absolutely thrilled with how this book turned out!
Rae wakes up and realizes that she is over Ryker. It was a rough 3-months, but she survived with the help of her friends. She learns that her old boss, and Ryker's father, passed away. Rae goes to the funeral with Rex and Zeke. This is the first time she has seen Ryker in 3-months, and she is okay. They pay their respect and head on the their way. Ryker still has issues that he needs to deal with.
Life goes on for Rae and the gang. Rex throws her an amazing surprise birthday party. Rae, Rex, Zeke and Tobias play some ball. Rae has known Zeke is hot, but all of a sudden she can't concentrate when he takes his shirt off, and her team looses. Rae starts having sexual dreams about Zeke, and words of love are in the dreams. Rae freaks out.
Rae finds out that Zeke had feeling for her before he started seeing Rochelle. This make it harder for Rae to be around Zeke. Rex finds out that Rae has feelings for Zeke and believes they are the perfect couple. Zeke is ready to propose to Rochelle, until he finds out from Rex that Rae has feelings for him.
In the meantime, Rex breaks up with Kayden because he doesn't want to be in a serious relationship. Kayden is in love with Rex, and the break-up breaks her. Kayden becomes somebody her friends don't know. It's Rae's turn to meddle in her brothers life.
Ray of Love could be the end of series as Rae and Zeke get their HEA, but there is still more to come. Jessie is still the lone girl out. Not much of a storyline, but I'm hoping that we see more about Jessie in Book 4. Yes, there is a Book 4. I'd also like to see what happens to Ryker.
I have stayed up late to finish each book in the series. It drew me in, and I'm glad they all released at the same time. I will anxiously wait for Ray of Time, Book 4, to arrive!
