I was thrilled when I saw that a new Alexis Parker book was on pre-order & immediately made sure I'd have it the first day! The excitement & emotion of this character, her partner & co-workers gets better with each book. I'm glad G.K. Parks is back creating her own world of adventure!
Loved it! Was on the edge of my seat the whole time. The plot was fantastic and there was more Martin! I love Martin!
Let me start by saying I love all the story lines and the amount of work and research the author puts into these book. Fascinating. But ...Alexis is just mean and most of the time a bully. Damaged or flawed doesn’t excuse all the behaviors toward others. Who, at 30, still throws things or sweeps everything off the desk onto the floor when irritated??
I absolutely love this series. This one was so full of intrigue that I could not and did not put it down until I was done. Alexis is a strong heroine who has many flaws and we get to go along for the ride as she works on a terrorism threat to law enforcement. She is battling with herself both mentally and physically and it feels like the weight of the world is on her shoulders especially after a detective and an informant were killed and she was there but cannot remember anything about that night. Alexis has to prove her innocence and figure out what happened that night and why. My only complaint is that there wasn't enough of Martin in the book but thats only because I have a book crush on him.
As always, another great book by GK Parks.
G k parks is awesome, this was a don't put down until you finish it. I'm ready for the next one!!
I really enjoyed the way this was written. The dialogue was crisp and snappy and the characters were well developed. This was a very enjoyable read.
